According
to
a
famous
saying
in
Tamil,
"people
who
intend
to
help
others
often
land
themselves
in
trouble",
this
proverb
has
taken
shape
in
none
other
than
Thala
Ajith's
life.
Everyone
are
aware
of
Ajith's
helping
nature,
but
most
of
you
wouldn't
have
known
the
fact
that
Ajith's
never
ending
intention
to
help
others
had
once
backfired
leaving
him
in
the
soup.
The
story
goes
like
this:
during
the
release
of
the
Balu
Mahendra
directorial
film,
Raman
Abdullah
in
1997,
there
was
a
huge
misunderstanding
of
sorts
between
Tamil
film
industry
and
Film
Employees
Federation
of
South
India(FEFSI).
Following
a
strike
from
FEFSI,
Tamil
film
producers
had
decided
not
to
engage
any
technician
or
worker
associated
with
FEFSI.
When
FEFSI
was
helpless,
it
was
Ajith
who
had
reportedly
come
to
its
rescue.
After
that
incident,
Ajith,
who
was
to
act
in
a
big
budget
movie
was
suddenly
sidelined
from
the
project
by
its
producer
as
he
had
extended
his
support
towards
FEFSI.
This
FEFSI
issue
could
well
be
one
of
the
reasons
why
Ajith
doesn't
actively
take
part
in
any
of
the
gatherings
organized
by
either
FEFSI
or
any
other
association
within
the
Kollywood
fraternity.
Interestingly,
a
few
years
later,
when
the
same
producer
had
incurred
heavy
losses
due
to
his
previous
movies,
it
was
Ajith
who
had
come
forward
to
help
the
producer
by
agreeing
to
act
in
his
movie.
His
association
with
that
particular
producer
did
not
fade
away
as
they
went
on
to
dish
out
two
other
movies
with
the
first
two
becoming
massive
hits.
Even
after
his
helping
nature
landing
him
in
trouble,
Ajith
has
never
refrained
from
extending
his
hand
of
support
to
those
who
are
in
need
of
it.
