After
testing
the
patience
of
almost
all
Indian
movie
goers
across
the
country
and
worldwide,
the
makers
of
Vikram
and
Shankar's
'I'
have
finally
decided
to
get
the
highly
anticipated
movie
of
recent
time
on
the
big
screen
all
over
the
planet.
'I'
will
scorch
its
way
in
theatres
near
you
come
January
14th.
With
just
two
days
to
go
for
the
release,
fans
are
apparently
excited
as
the
advance
booking
for
the
movie
is
in
full
swing
Though
'I'
is
releasing
in
most
number
of
theatres
in
India
as
well
as
overseas,
it
has
not
managed
to
get
any
where
close
to
what
Rajinikanth's
Enthiran
managed
to
do
prior
its
release.
Enthiran
managed
to
get
a
huge
opening
that
helped
the
film
to
amass
crores
in
the
box
office
within
few
days
of
its
release.
Eventually,
the
film
went
on
to
become
highest
grossing
Tamil
film
ever
by
crossing
the
250
crore
mark.
'
'I'
on
the
other
hand
is
releasing
for
the
Pongal
festival
which
means
it
will
enjoy
a
long
weekend
opening
in
Tamil
Nadu.
The
film
has
created
a
buzz
in
other
parts
of
South
India
and
in
the
North
as
well.
The
film
is
sure
to
enjoy
a
tremendous
opening
at
least
in
India
but
the
real
interest
will
be
the
movie's
performance
in
the
West
and
in
other
countries.
If
'I'
manages
to
do
really
well
overseas
especially
in
the
Land
of
Liberty(USA),
it
has
more
than
a
good
chance
to
get
past
Rajinikanth's
Enthiran
to
become
the
highest
grossing
Tamil
film
ever.
Other
factors
that
might
influence
I's
box
office
collection
is
the
competition
that
the
film
will
face
from
other
movies
like
Vishal's
Aambala
and
GV
Prakash's
Darling
which
will
make
its
way
to
screens
on
the
festival
day.
Ajith's
Yennai
Arindhaal
will
also
come
into
the
picture
come
January
29th.
Considering
all
these
factors,
experts
feel
that
Shankar's
'I'
will
still
go
the
distance
as
the
movie
is
expected
to
be
one
of
its
kind.
'I'
is
all
set
to
be
a
trend
setter
in
Kollywood
and
hence
might
create
a
new
box
office
record
for
a
Tamil
film
if
not
for
an
Indian
film.
