The makers of Suriya-starrer Tamil actioner S3, which is nearing completion, are headed to Malaysia to shoot the climax. The film is gearing up for a grand release this Diwali.
"The team along with Suriya leaves on Friday (August 26) to Malaysia. It will be a two-week schedule and they will shoot some important sequences apart from a major action block. Apart from this schedule, the team has one more song to shoot," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
Andhra and Nizam Rights
It is said that Malkapuram Siva has bagged the Andhra and Nizam rights for 18 Crore rupees. Suriya does have a decent market in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and hence S3 is expected to do well in those states.
In Kerala, it is said that the film was sold for 3.6 Crore rupees and that a famous distribution company has bagged the rights.
The makers are hoping to release the film for this year's Diwali. Since there are no other major Tamil releases around that time, S3 is expected to present Suriya his biggest opener ever.
It Is 'S3' After 'Kabali'
S3 will be shot in some of the prime locations in Malaysia. It is said that the team will travel to places where Rajinikanth's Kabali had been shot, not many days ago.
Other Cast & Crew
Apart from the lead actors, S3 has some of the seasoned performers like Raadhika Sarathkumar, Robo Shankar, Chaams and Nithin Sathya. While Priyan handles the camera, VT Vijayan will take care of the editing bit.
Harris Jayaraj will be composing music for a Suriya-starrer after a long time. All of his previous flicks starring the Ghajini actor have been musical hits and the same would be expected from S3 as well.
The film marks the debut of Hindi television actor Thakur Anoop Singh, who will be playing the antagonist. Directed by Hari, the project also stars Shruti Haasan and Anushka Shetty in the lead.
S3 is being bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green and Suriya, according to the source, will return in his police avatar, but in a more fierce role.
Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of S3 have been sold for a whopping 41 Crore rupees, which is said to be the highest price for any Suriya-starrer.
While many distribution companies had their eyes set on the rights of S3, it was Udhayam Entertainment which successfully bagged the rights in the end.
