Everyone
in
the
Tamil
film
fraternity
is
kicked
about
the
forthcoming
star
cricket
tournament
and
rightly
so,
for
it
is
being
organized
for
a
noble
cause.
But,
for
Thala
Ajith
this
tournament
is
a
bad
idea.
According
to
the
latest
report,
Ajith
will
neither
participate
nor
support
the
event
and
the
reason
behind
his
decision
is
more
logical
than
controversial.
It
is
said
that
the
Mankatha
star
is
against
the
idea
of
collecting
money
from
commoners
and
fans
in
order
to
construct
the
edifice,
for
which
money
is
being
raised
at
the
moment.
Instead,
Ajith
has
recommended
his
co-stars
to
pitch
in
with
money
as
per
their
own
strengths
and
convenience.
In
fact,
it
is
reported
that
Ajith
is
ready
to
contribute
in
a
big
way
towards
the
construction
of
the
building.
The
star
cricket
tournament,
which
requires
fans
and
cricket
lovers
to
buy
tickets
in
order
to
witness
the
event,
is
all
set
to
take
place
at
the
MA
Chidambaram
Stadium
in
Chennai
from
April
17th.
While
biggies
like
Amitabh
Bachchan,
Rajinikanth,
Kamal
Haasan
and
Chiranjeevi
are
expected
to
attend
the
gathering,
organized
by
the
Actors'
Association,
Ajith
might
not
make
his
presence
felt.
It
is
worth
recollecting
that
the
Yennai
Arindhaal
actor
had
made
a
similar
decision
when
he
turned
down
the
invitation
to
attend
a
star
show
in
Singapore
years
ago.
Back
then,
Vijayakanth,
the
then
President
of
the
South
Indian
Artistes'
Association
(SIAA)
had
organized
a
star-studded
event
in
Singapore
in
an
attempt
to
get
rid
of
the
debts
of
the
'Nadigar
Sangam'.
While
almost
every
Tamil
artistes
had
participated,
Thala
Ajith
was
against
the
idea
of
collecting
money
from
the
people
of
Singapore,
just
to
clear
the
debts
of
an
organization
back
home.
It
is
said
that
he
donated
10
Lakh
rupees
instead.
