Director Shankar Lauds Madhavan's 'Irudhi Suttru'
Film-maker S Shankar on Saturday (6th February) congratulated the team behind R Madhavan-starrer Tamil-Hindi bilingual Irudhi Suttru, calling it a "great effort".
"Irudhi Suttru - 'A salute to women'. Great effort by the director Sudha. Superb performance by Ritika and Maddy. Good music by Santhosh," The Enthiran director posted on his official social networking page.
The film, which was released in Hindi as Saala Khadoos, is the story of mentor-mentee relationship between a boxing coach and his student.
In Tamil, the film reportedly raked in over 6 Crore rupees at the Tamil Nadu box-office, by the end of its opening weekend (first three days).
The film is directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, who will soon helm the movie's Telugu remake with actor Venkatesh.
Meanwhile, Madhavan has not signed any new projects. The Aayutha Ezhuthu actor has revealed that he will wait for a good script to come his way, rather than taking up films just for the sake of it.
