impress
overseas
audience
more
than
the
movie
goers
back
home
as
the
sports
based
drama
has
reportedly
performed
better
overseas
than
in
Tamil
Nadu,
at
least
by
the
end
of
its
opening
weekend
(first
three
days).
Taking
on
its
competitor,
Aranmanai
2,
at
the
box
office
last
weekend,
it
is
said
that
the
Sudha
Kongara
Prasad
directorial
outperformed
the
horror-comedy
flick
in
foreign
countries.
ATMUS
Entertainment,
the
company
which
distributed
Irudhi
Suttru
in
the
USA,
confirmed
that
the
movie
is
"doing
good
at
the
USA
box
office."
Taking
to
their
official
social
media
page,
ATMUS
said
good
reviews
and
word
of
mouth
are
some
of
the
factors
helping
the
movie
attract
audience
into
cinema
halls.
While
the
first
day
was
responsible
in
contributing
$5K,
second
and
third
day
is
said
to
have
collected
$23K
and
$40K
respectively,
taking
its
overall
collections
to
an
impressive
$68,407
or
46.26
Lakhs
from
its
first
three
days
in
the
Land
of
Liberty
alone.
Though
the
official
box
office
numbers
of
Chennai
is
not
yet
revealed,
collections
of
Aranmanai
2
have
surpassed
the
collections
of
Irudhi
Suttru,
according
to
a
report.
This
however,
may
change
this
week,
say
trade
experts.
