Is Kriti Sanon The First Actress To Be Roped Into 'Thala 57'?

Earlier, we had informed you that actresses Kriti Sanon and Tamannaah Bhatia have been approached to play female leads in Ajith's upcoming flick, Thala 57.

Now, according to the latest report, model turned actress Kriti Sanon might have been roped into the movie with the team hunting for the second actress.

Speculations are rife that the Yennai Arindhaal star may play dual role in the much anticipated film and hence director Siva and his team are on the look out for yet another actress.

Though it is said that Kriti will be making her Tamil debut with Thala 57, an official word from sources close to the project is still awaited.

It was also reported that Nayantara too, was approached for one of the heroine roles. Update on Nayantara's reply is awaited as well.

Among many other speculations pertaining to Thala 57 was the idea of including Mohanlal in the star cast. It was said that the Malayalam star was approached to play the villain in the movie.

To be bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films, official announcement regarding Ajith's 57th film is expected to be made by the end of this month or latest by May first week.

Meanwhile, Shobha Chandrasekhar, mother of Ilayathalapathy Vijay has said that Ajith and Vijay are not competitors but friends.

She has reportedly said that she even paid Ajith and his wife Shalini a visit, when their second child was born. Vaali, Aasai and Kadhal Kottai are some of her favourite movies of Ajith, according to a report.

For decades now, Ajith and Vijay are considered as fierce rivals. But the two prominent actors of Tamil cinema are good friends off-screen.
