Arch-Rivals? Now A Cricket Match Between Team Thala Ajith & Team Ilayathalapathy Vijay!

The celebrity cricket tournament, that will be organized by the Actors' Association aka 'Nadigar Sangam' to raise funds in order to construct a building, will most likely have Thala Ajith's team pinned against Ilayathalapathy Vijay's team.

The organizers are planning to make the tournament a three match series in which one of the games may have Vijay's team taking on Ajith's team, it is said.

The event which is expected to start from April 10th in Chennai is likely to have stalwarts like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith and Vijay among others.

"Right now, we have Rs 48 Lakh in cash and we have borrowed Rs 2 Crore from the bank. To raise more funds to complete the building, we are conducting this celebrity cricket match. The entire Tamil film fraternity will come together for this initiative and the event will be attended by Rajini sir and Kamal sir." A source had confirmed earlier.

Earlier, the plan was to bankroll a film which might've subsequently raised money to construct the building, which in turn is expected to bring in revenues that will be used for the betterment of the association.

But looks like the movie plan had to be dropped owing to financial issues, which gave way for the organization of a cricket tournament.
