Actress Regina Cassandra plays a ghost in film-maker Selvaraghavan's highly anticipated romantic horror film Nenjam Marappathillai, which also stars actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah in the lead.
"Regina's role will shock audiences to the core. It's a physically exhausting role and Selva has written it in such a way that people will empathise with the character but at the same time fear it too. Her looks, which is being heavily guarded, will be one of the highlights of the movie," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
The source also added that Suryah's role will amaze all type of audiences.
"Suryah's performance in recently released 'Iraivi' has been the talk of the town for the last few weeks. Wait till audiences see his work in this film," the source said.
Nenjam Marappathillai marks the reunion of Selvaraghavan and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja after nine years of hiatus. The duo was last seen working together in the Telugu flick Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule, which released in the year 2007.
Also starring Nandita Swetha in an important role, the film is produced by film-maker Gautham Menon and P Madan under Gautham's home banner Ondraga Entertainment, and is gearing up for release this August.
While the cinematography is being handled by Arvind Krishna, the film will be edited by Kola Bhaskar and
Rukesh. Escape Artists Motion Pictures is planning to distribute the film on a large-scale.
Meanwhile, Regina Cassandra, who was last seen in AG Amid's Rajathandhiram, is also shooting for a couple of Tamil and a Telugu project.
While she will be seen essaying her role from Rajathandhiram in the franchise' second instalment (Rajathandhiram 2), she will also play a crucial role in Maanagaram, which is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
In Telugu, the Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga actress is shooting for a movie titled Jo Achyutananda, which has Nara Rohit in the lead.
