Actor John Vijay, who will be sharing screen space with superstar Rajinikanth in his upcoming Tamil gangster drama Kabali, has said the film will fetch the Lingaa actor, an award.
In his interview to IndiaGlitz, John, popular for his roles in movies like Kalakalappu and Mouna Guru, has shared his experience of working with the likes of Rajinikanth and Pa Ranjith.
"After each and every shot, Ranjith would stare at the monitor and that caused Rajinikanth to worry a lot. Thinking that he might ask for a re-take, Rajini sir would proactively say that this is his best performance in 40 years and that he cannot go for a re-take," John Vijay has said.
The 39-year-old actor, who will be seen in an important role in Kabali, has said Ranjith has extracted some brilliant performances from his actors and that the film will hand Rajinikanth an award.
"Rajini sir used to say that if Ranjith makes him to act like this, then it might actually fetch him an award," John says and adds, Rajinikanth has no other option but to accept his award for the movie, such is his performance.
Bankrolled by 'Kalaipuli' S Thanu, Kabali, which also stars Radhika Apte, Nassar, Dinesh, Kalaiyarasan Harish, Dhansika and Riythvika in prominent roles, is expected to release in cinemas on July 15th.
