Film-maker Selvaraghavan's next Tamil horror outing is titled Nenjam Marappathillai. The movie went on the floors here in Chennai on Thursday (28th Jan).
"The film is titled 'Nenjam Marappathillai'. It's not a remake of the Tamil classic of the same name. This is an original script, a no-nonsense horror film," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
The film stars SJ Suryah and Regina Cassandra of Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga and Rajathandhiram fame in the lead roles.
The latest actress to join the cast is Nandita Swetha, who has been roped in to play an important character. Nandita Swetha is known for her role in movies like Ethir Neechal, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, Mundaasupatti and Uppu Karuvaadu.
Film-maker Gautham Vasudev Menon is bankrolling the project, which will have music by Santhosh Narayanan.
Also, it is speculated that Gautham Menon may direct Dhanush after finishing his current commitments, which includes Nenjam Marappathillai.
Is his collaboration with Selvaraghavan responsible for this latest rumour or is Gautham really roping in Dhanush this time around? Let's wait and watch.
