Suriya,
along
with
his
family,
left
for
the
US
on
a
holiday.
The
Vaaranam
Aayiram
actor
will
not
be
here
in
India
for
the
release
of
his
upcoming
sci-fi
thriller
24.
Suriya,
Jyothika
and
their
kids
are
expected
to
spend
at
least
a
couple
of
weeks
in
the
Land
of
Liberty,
which
effectively
means
the
actor
will
be
able
to
enjoy
the
screening
of
his
film
there
in
the
US.
"Suriya
left
on
a
holiday
with
his
family
on
Saturday
(April
30).
During
this
trip
he
will
also
briefly
promote
his
film
in
US,
along
with
the
film's
overseas
distributor
CineGalaxy
Inc," a
source
close
to
the
star
actor
told
IANS.
While
24
will
release
worldwide
on
May
6,
the
movie
will
have
its
premiere
shows
at
many
centres
in
the
US
on
May
5th.
Suriya
is
expected
to
attend
the
premiere
of
24
in
Bay
Area,
San
Francisco.
Directed
by
Vikram
Kumar,
Suriya
plays
triple
role
in
the
film.
Tipped
to
be
a
time-travel
thriller,
the
film
also
stars
Samantha
Ruth
Prabhu
and
Nithya
Menen
in
important
roles.
Speaking
at
one
of
the
recently
held
events,
Vikram
Kumar,
who
had
previously
directed
movies
like
Silambarasan's
Alai
and
Madhavan's
Yavarum
Nalam,
praised
Suriya
the
producer.
"We
all
know
what
Suriya
is
capable
of
as
an
actor,
but
it
was
Suriya
the
producer
who
impressed
me
the
most
while
shooting
for
the
movie
'24'.
The
production
team
not
only
did
make
the
entire
team
comfortable,
but
they
made
sure
we
were
actually
pampered
on
the
sets
of
'24'",
Vikram
said.
He
also
said
that
Suriya
is
the
kind
of
producer
any
director
would
love
to
work
with.
"There
is
so
much
freedom
on
the
set
while
working
with
him.
Suriya
never
compromises
on
the
quality
of
the
film
and
that
brought
out
the
best
from
everyone," he
said.
