Looks like Tamil celebrities were no exception when the whole world was rooting for Leonardo Dicaprio to win the award for Best Actor at the 88th Academy Awards that took place recently.

Just like any other fan or movie lover, famous Kollywood personalities expressed their happiness over Leonardo's win at the Oscars.

"He would still be my favourite even if he didnt... but he did it... he did it... n my vote was always for him #LeonardoDiCaprio." Trisha wrote on her Twitter page.

RJ Balaji was at his comical best when he said, "Congratulations Titanic Jack..! Nalla vela u won n saved urself frm being d chief guest of Vijay Awards this year ..! #LeonardoDiCaprio."

She further went on to add, "The moment I entered @RedFMIndia in Hyderabad saw @LeoDiCaprio winning the #oscar thought I'll miss it , but was lucky enuf to catch it !!!!"

Actor Jiiva, who is awaiting the release of Pokkiri Raja, which will release in cinemas this Friday said, "Hard work never fails!!! @LeoDiCaprio @RevenantMovie and team."

Vishnu too, took to Twitter to express his happiness, he wrote, "sooo happyyyy.... @LeoDiCaprio totally deserved the oscar :) supr fan of him n hiz movies.. well whoz not."
