'Thala 57' Team Planning A Surprise For Ajith On His B'day While Launching The Film, Will He Attend?

According to sources close to the project, Thala 57 will be officially launched with the traditional pooja (a religious ceremony) on May 1st, owing to Ajith's birthday.

Usually, any event pertaining to a movie that stars Ajith will be an insipid affair, unlike events that has other stars playing the lead.

In fact, if we are talking about an Ajith movie, even important events like an audio launch function would be held sans publicity, thanks to the Vedalam star's ideology, which is not to spend money unnecessarily on such events.

Though this works well for a producer, fans and movie buffs are usually disappointed prior to the film's release as they do not get to see the glitz and glamour involved in such gatherings for their favourite actor's flicks.

But, all that might change in the forthcoming movie Thala 57. Bankrolled by Sathyajyothi Films, the makers of the movie have reportedly planned a grand event while launching the project on May 1st.

What more, it is said that they have also planned a surprise birthday party for the star actor and that a huge set is currently being erected at Binny Mills in Chennai, meant for the event.

All that said and done, the only question now remains is, will Ajith turn up for the event? Given the Yennai Arindhaal actor's reputation of not attending any social gatherings, it cannot be said with certainty that he will show up for the film's launch, which deliberately falls on his 45th birthday.

To be directed by Siva, who had earlier helmed Ajith's Veeram and Vedalam, Thala 57 will have its music composed by Anirudh.

While there is no official confirmation as yet regarding the film's cast and crew, it is widely speculated that the movie will have two leading ladies including Hindi actress Kriti Sanon.
