Valid Reasons For Not Promoting 'Nayaki': Trisha

Trisha Krishnan, whose Tamil retro horror-comedy Nayaki released on Friday, says there are valid reasons why she hasn't been talking about her film or promoting it.

"If I am not talking about or promoting my film, there are valid reasons for it," Trisha wrote on her official social media page.

"Apologies to my media friends and fans who have been asking me. I will personally make sure it is explained soon. Thank you all for the consistent support and love," she added.

In the film, Trisha plays a dual role for the first time in her career.

Directed by Govi, the film also stars Ganesh Venkatraman, Brahmanandam, Sushma Raj and Satyam Rajesh in important roles.

Produced by Giridhar Mamidipally, Padmaja Mamidipally, Nayaki was earlier released in Telugu, but was not received well by Telugu audiences. Trisha would be hoping that the film does better in Tamil Nadu.
