Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Theri' Creates Multiple Records Even Before Its Release!

Theri is on a record creating spree even before its worldwide theatrical release on April 14th. The Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer may go on to break many more records in the next few days.

First up, the movie's official trailer went on to accumulate a whopping 2 Million views within 24 hours from the time of its release on YouTube, making it the most viewed Tamil trailer in such a short span of time.

The 2 minute video, which is fast approaching 3 Million views, has also managed to amass an impressive 164K likes. This is said to be a new record for any Tamil trailer.

Moving on, the film has created yet another record for any Vijay starrer, when it comes to the pre-release business.

The US theatrical rights of Theri has been bagged by CineGalaxy for a jaw-dropping price of 3 Crore rupees. This is said to be the highest price paid so far for a Vijay starrer.
