Film-maker
M
Manikandan's
third
Tamil
directorial
Aandavan
Kattalai,
which
features
Vijay
Sethupathi
in
the
lead,
is
about
the
common
discrepancies
involved
while
issuing
passports.
"It's
a
light-hearted
entertainer
that
throws
the
spotlight
on
discrepancies
in
the
passport
issuing
structure
and
the
various
problems
we
face
due
to
which.
The
film's
last
schedule
is
currently
being
shot
in
an
embassy
set," a
source
told
IANS.
Unlike
the
National-award
winning
Kaaka
Muttai,
Manikandan's
latest
venture
will
be
a
realistic
entertainer.
"Although
it
deals
with
a
very
serious
issue,
the
entire
film
has
been
treated
in
an
entertaining
manner,"
the
source
said,
adding
that
actress
Ritika
Singh
of
Irudhi
Suttru
fame
plays
a
very
pivotal
role
in
the
film.
The
film
also
features
actor
Yogi
Babu,
who
was
seen
in
Kaaka
Muttai,
and
he
will
be
playing
a
prominent
role
as
well.
Veteran
actor
Nassar
too,
will
be
seen
in
an
interesting
role
along
with
actress
Pooja
Devariya,
who
made
her
debut
in
Selvaraghavan's
Mayakkam
Enna.
Musician
K
has
been
roped
in
to
compose
the
tunes.
The
film,
which
is
expected
to
hit
the
big
screen
later
this
year,
will
be
edited
by
Anucharan
and
the
camera
will
be
cranked
by
director
Manikandan
himself.
It
is
being
bankrolled
by
GN
Anbu
Chezhiyan
under
Gopuram
Films.
All
eyes
will
be
on
Manikandan
to
see
if
he
can
deliver
the
goods
yet
again,
especially
after
fabricating
a
high
quality
movie
like
Kaaka
Muttai.
Also
to
be
seen
is
how
well
he
handles
stars
like
Vijay
Sethupathi,
Nassar
and
Ritika
Singh.
Ritika,
who
is
high
on
confidence
after
making
an
impressive
debut,
will
look
to
stamp
her
authority
in
Kollywood.
Stay
tuned
for
more
details
on
this
exciting
project.
