Actor
Vishal
Krishna
on
Thursday
(25
February)
confirmed
that
the
sequel
to
his
2005
Tamil
actioner
Sandakozhi,
has
been
shelved
indefinitely.
"Sad
to
see
certain
filmmakers
lacking
commitment
towards
projects.
Guess
actors
should
stick
to
acting
and
directors
to
directing.
'Sandakozhi
2'
cancelled
(sic)," Vishal
posted
on
his
Twitter
page.
Though
it
is
hard
to
decipher
the
hidden
message
in
Vishal's
tweet,
it
certainly
looks
like
the
Aambala
actor
has
a
piece
of
advice
to
his
contemporary
actors
and
film-makers.
The
project
was
supposed
to
be
directed
by
Linguswamy,
who
helmed
the
first
part.
Sandakozhi
was
one
of
the
biggest
hits
in
Vishal's
acting
career.
He
was
all
set
to
produce
the
sequel
under
his
home
banner,
Vishal
Film
Factory
(VFF).
Meanwhile,
Vishal
is
currently
shooting
for
his
upcoming
flick
Marudhu.
Directed
by
Muthiah
of
Kutti
Puli
and
Komban
fame,
the
film
will
have
its
settings
against
a
rural
backdrop.
Also
starring
Sri
Divya,
Radharavi
and
Soori
in
pivotal
roles,
Marudhu
will
have
its
music
composed
by
Imman.
Veteran
cameraman
Velraj
is
in
charge
of
the
cinematography.
