The sequel to actor Vishal's 2005 superhit film Sandakozhi will go on the floors from February onwards.
"We plan to start shooting from February end. The film will be set against the backdrop of Madurai this time. There's nothing more I can divulge at the moment, but I'm really excited about the project," Vishal told IANS.
He further revealed that the film will be wrapped in two schedules. The sequel will be directed by Linguswamy, who helmed the original.
Before starting work on the sequel, Vishal will wrap up the shoot of his upcoming action flick, Marudhu. He is also awaiting the release of Kathakali, which will hit the big screen tomorrow (January 15th) on the auspicious day of Pongal festival.
Kathakali is directed by Pandiraj, the film-maker who dished out Pasanga, a critically acclaimed movie which won three National Film Awards.
Kathakali, a movie based on a true incident, features Catherine Tresa, Nassar, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan and Karunas in important roles. It is bankrolled by Vishal and Pandiraj under their respective home banners, Vishal Film Factory (VFF) and Pasanga Productions.
