sequel
to
actor
Vishal's
2005
superhit
film
Sandakozhi
will
go
on
the
floors
from
February
onwards.
"We
plan
to
start
shooting
from
February
end.
The
film
will
be
set
against
the
backdrop
of
Madurai
this
time.
There's
nothing
more
I
can
divulge
at
the
moment,
but
I'm
really
excited
about
the
project," Vishal
told
IANS.
He
further
revealed
that
the
film
will
be
wrapped
in
two
schedules.
The
sequel
will
be
directed
by
Linguswamy,
who
helmed
the
original.
Before
starting
work
on
the
sequel,
Vishal
will
wrap
up
the
shoot
of
his
upcoming
action
flick,
Marudhu.
He
is
also
awaiting
the
release
of
Kathakali,
which
will
hit
the
big
screen
tomorrow
(January
15th)
on
the
auspicious
day
of
Pongal
festival.
Kathakali
is
directed
by
Pandiraj,
the
film-maker
who
dished
out
Pasanga,
a
critically
acclaimed
movie
which
won
three
National
Film
Awards.
Kathakali,
a
movie
based
on
a
true
incident,
features
Catherine
Tresa,
Nassar,
Lakshmi
Ramakrishnan
and
Karunas
in
important
roles.
It
is
bankrolled
by
Vishal
and
Pandiraj
under
their
respective
home
banners,
Vishal
Film
Factory
(VFF)
and
Pasanga
Productions.
