Santhanam-starrer
Tamil
horror-comedy
Dhilluku
Dhuddu
has
grossed
over
12
Crore
rupees
at
the
box
office
from
its
opening
weekend
in
Tamil
Nadu
alone.
"Thanks
to
the
long
Eid
weekend,
the
film
has
turned
out
to
be
very
successful.
In
the
four-day
weekend
in
Tamil
Nadu,
it
grossed
over
Rs
12
crore
and
that's
a
phenomenal
start," trade
analyst
Trinath
told
IANS.
Directed
by
Rambala,
the
film
is
partly
a
spoof
on
horror-comedies,
a
genre
that's
been
ruling
Tamil
cinema
for
the
last
few
years.
"The
spoof
angle
really
worked
in
the
film's
favour.
The
masses
loved
it,"
he
added.
Also
starring
Shanaya,
Saurabh
Shukla
and
Anand
Raj
in
prominent
roles,
the
film
has
been
produced
by
Sri
Thenandal
Films,
the
company
which
made
sure
Dhilluku
Dhuddu
reached
wide
range
of
audiences
across
the
world.
Taking
into
account
its
overall
collections,
the
film
might
go
on
to
gather
a
whopping
25
Crore
rupees
from
all
its
centres,
by
the
end
of
its
theatrical
run.
