We all know that the most happening Tamil movie of 2017 is busy in its final leg of shooting schedule and the crew is determined to wrap it up as soon as possible. So far, there has been no technical glitch, delay in the schedule or any sorts of jittery scenarios experienced by the cast and crew of 2.0.

The costliest Indian movie is the talk of the town for more than a reason. First, it was the high profile first look launch function which was held in Mumbai at a mammoth scale andthen it was the whopping satellite rights business which helped the movie enter into the 100 Cr club even before the movie's release. The satellite rights were sold to Zee Network (Tamil, Telugu & Hindi) to a gigantic figure of 110Cr thus by overtaking the previous best of 75Cr set by Aamir Khan's Dangal.

Now, 2.O is once again in news but for a different reason. A verbal spat broke out between a journalist and the cinema crew which later turned out to a physical abuse by the latter on the journalist.

This provoked the journalist to lodge a complaint as he claims that his plea for information from the team of 2.O was very sensible and the response from the team was totally uncalled for.

The journalist told in the press meet that a certain members of 2.O were asked by him whether they possessed valid permission to shoot in the area where the team was canning some sequences as the victimized journalist assumed it to cause inconvenience to the general public. This outraged the crew members, viz. Alex, Pappu & Sundar Rajan (Production Manager) who were said to have manhandled the correspondent.

Enraged by this behaviour, the journalist was not only instigated to lodge a formal complaint, but also held a press conference which forced the director of the film, S. Shankar to attend the press conference and offer an apology. Though the journalist seemed agitated on the happening, he was seen interacting with the ace director with all due respect and seemed ready to sort issues amicably. The Enthiran director was seen calm, composed and opted a cordial route by offering profuse apology. He also affirmed that the said untoward incident would not repeat in the future and the director himself would shoulder responsibility for the discipline and decorum of his team members.

Though the unfortunate incident should never have happened, we appreciate Shankar for his matured approach towards the situation and the Journalist’s ripened response and respect to the maverick director to set a cordial tone and relationship between the filmdom and journalists.
