Kaatru Veliyidai: Azhagiye Song Teaser Nears 10 Lakhs Views

Kaatru Veliyidai, the upcoming Mani Ratnam movie which stars Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari has already made a mark in Kollywood with its exceptional first teaser. Now, the movie has again grabbed attention with its first single, Azhagiye.

The team recently released a one-minute-long song teaser of Azhagiye, which is composed by AR Rahman. The fabulous song teaser, which was released at 6 PM on February 10, is nearing 10 Lakhs views on YouTube.

Azhagiye, which is penned by Karky, is sung by Arjun Chandy, Haricharan Seshadri, and Jonita Gandhi. The song teaser is simply rich with the beautiful composition by AR Rahman and breathtaking visualisation by DOP Ravi Varman.

Karthi essays the role of Sqn. Ldr. Muthu Kumar, while Aditi Rao Hydari appears as his lady-love. Delhi Ganesh, RJ Balaji, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Shraddha Srinath, KPAC Lalitha, Vipin Sharma, Harish Raj, etc, appear in the supporting roles.

Director Mani Ratnam himself has penned the screenplay and dialogues for Kaatru Veliyidai, which is said to be an intense love story. The movie has been simultaneously made in Telugu, under the title Cheliya.

A Sreekar Prasad handles the editing of the movie. The production design is handled by Sharmishta Roy. Ela Lakhani has designed the costumes. Kaatru Veliyidai is produced by Mani Ratnam himself, for Madras Talkies.
