Kaatru Veliyidai Trailer Review: A Glimpse Of Mani Ratnam Magic

Kaatru Veliyidai, the upcoming Mani Ratnam movie is one of the most anticipated upcoming projects of Tamil cinema. Director Mani Ratnam and music director AR Rahman revealed the official trailer of Kaatru Veliyidai through Facebook, recently.

The trailer of the Karthi-Aditi Rao Hydari starrer looks simply magical. The 1.31 minutes long trailer hints that Kaatru Veliyidai will be yet another intense, captivating love saga by the master craftsman, Mani Ratnam.

Karthi appears as a pilot in the movie, which stars Aditi Rao Hydari in the role of a doctor. The short conversation between the lead pair in the beginning of the trailer reminds several epic romantic sequences from the director's celebrated love stories.

The incredible music by AR Rahman and Ravi Varman's breath-taking visuals makes the promising trailer even more impactful. Kaatru Veliyidai will surely be a musical-visual treat from Mani Ratnam and his team.

Karthi, the lead actor scores in his totally new avathar, as a pilot who serves the Indian Air Force. But the show stealer of the teaser is its leading lady, Aditi Rao Hydari, who looks ethereal in each frame.

Mani Ratnam himself has penned the screenplay and dialogues for Kaatru Veliyidai, which has also been simultaneously made in Telugu under the title Cheliya. He has also produced the movie for his him banner Madras Talkies.

A Sreekar Prasad handles the editing of the movie. The production design is handled by Sharmishta Roy. Ela Lakhani has designed the costumes. Kaatru Veliyidai is expected to hit the theatres on April 7.
