When
the
makers
of
India's
costliest
ever
movie
announced
the
release
date
of
their
movie,
none
dared
to
clash
with
the
gigantic
venture.
The
emperor
of
the
box
office,
Superstar
Rajinikanth
along
with
the
grandeur
director,
Shankar
was
confirmed
to
make
the
audience
throng
theatres
this
Diwali
to
set
the
box
office
on
fire.
However,
the
makers
of
the
movie
have
decided
to
make
the
movie
in
grandest
possible
way
and
hence
have
pushed
the
release
date
to
Jan
25,
2018
citing
VFX
development
works.
This
led
to
an
open
Diwali
slot
in
K-Town
for
a
big
release
and
it
was
the
Ilayathalapathy-Atlee
combo's
movie
which
occupied
the
slot
at
the
word
go.
October
seems
to
be
the
right
time
to
release
a
biggie
as
it
marks
a
festive
season
and
as
well
would
not
be
a
non-seasonal
release.
The
Vijay
starrer
which
is
rumored
to
be
titled
as
Moondru
Mugam
marks
a
century
for
the
Mozart
of
Madras,
AR
Rahman.
The
Oscar
award-winning
music
director
complete
100
movies
with
this
venture
and
the
prestigious
number
might
offer
some
unique
tunes
to
make
the
whole
event
a
memorable
one.
The
Ghilli
actor
would
be
turning
43
this
June
22nd
and
the
team
has
decided
to
spring
in
a
sweet
surprise
for
the
actor's
fans.
The
first
look
of
the
movie
is
planned
to
be
released
on
the
mass
actor's
birthday
which
celebrates
the
occasion
as
well
as
enriching
the
zeal
of
Ilayathalapathy
fans.
Though
the
dates
are
yet
to
be
confirmed,
the
audio
launch
and
the
trailer
release
of
the
movie
are
tentatively
scheduled
in
the
month
of
August.
This
gives
a
solid
one
month's
time
for
fans
to
soak
themselves
in
and
get
hooked
up
to
the
movie's
buzz.
With
2.O
backing
out
of
Diwali,
few
more
movies
can
now
be
expected
to
join
the
race
with
the
Vijay
Starrer.
Sri
Thendral
films,
one
of
the
oldest
production
houses
of
Tamil
cinema,
have
been
deprived
of
a
mighty
success
both
in
the
production
and
the
distribution
department.
They
are
hoping
to
strike
back
with
this
ambitious
project
and
with
such
big
names
working
on
the
project,
the
mission
more
or
less
seems
to
be
accomplished.
Diwali
has
been
a
fruitful
occasion
in
most
of
the
cases
as
Vijay
has
had
some
successful
outings
with
many
of
his
releases.
The
42-year-old
actor
has
struck
gold
with
films
like
Priyamanavaley
(2000),
Thirumalai
(2003),
Sivakasi
(2005),
Thuppakki
(2012)
&
Kaththi
(2014).
With
Thapathy61
being
geared
up
for
this
Diwali,
it
would
be
a
hat
trick
Diwali
for
the
darling
of
mass
if
the
film
hits
the
bull's
eye.
