Neelima Rani

Neelima Rani made her debut as a child star in Tamil cinema and later went on to gain fame by starring on the small screen and the silver screen. She made her debut as a child star in Kamal Haasan and Sivaji Ganesan's acclaimed movie Devarmagan. Though she hasn't played the lead role in movies, her role in popular movies such as Karthi's Naan Mahaan Ala, Jayam Ravi's Santhosh Subramaniam, Jyothika's Mozhi and Raghava Lawrence's Rajati Raja are evergreen.

In 2008, Neelima Rani married Ishaivanan who is 10 years elder than her. Together, they decided to make a film in 2011 and spent around Rs 4.50 crores. They even took 55 people from India for shoot in New Zealand for about two months.

They were unable to release the film as they were betrayed by a close friend. Since they could not release the movie, they ended up being in a huge debt and even sold all their properties including the house they were living in. Later, they stayed at a rented house, which they eventually bought after earning little by little. The couple has two daughters, with their youngest being born only a few months back.

On the acting front, Neelima recently played a small yet prominent role in the Tamil movie titled August 16 1947. Directed by NS Ponkumar, the film stars Gautham Karthik, Pugazh, Richard Ashton, and Revathy in the lead roles. Released earlier this month, the film has been receiving positive responses from fans and critics alike.

About the movie, she said in an interview, "My portion for the movie was shot in a day. But the director waited for my call sheet for a long time as I was pregnant. My portions were shot after I gave birth to my second baby." Let's wait for more updates about her next movies.
