Vairamuthu Reveals Important Announcement About His Next Big Project; Says 'Working Hard For Thirty Months'

Vairamuthu's Announcement: Poet and lyricist Vairamuthu has revealed that he has been writing an important Tamil literature for the past thirty months.

Vairamuthu is an indispensable lyricist of Tamil cinema. Like Kannadasan, Pattukottai Kalyana Sundaram and Vali, Vairamuthu is also a great legend. Vairamuthu, who made his debut in Bharathiraja's film Nizhalgal, introduced a lot of new poetry in Tamil cinema songs.

In the very first song 'Vaanam Enakoru Bodhi Maram', he presented fresh and innovative thoughts and left his mark not only on Ilaiyaraaja's mind but also in the hearts of fans.

Conflict With Ilaiyaraaja & AR Rahman

Vairamuthu became Ilaiyaraaja's favorite lyricist after that song. Especially the Bharathiraja - Ilayaraja - Vairamuthu alliance created the greatest magic in Kollywood. The songs of Vairamuthu and Ilaiyaraaja's films such as Mudhal Mariyadhai, Man Vaasanai, Kadalora Kavidhaigal, Alaigal Oivathillai and Sindhu Bhairavi are all classics.

But the alliance broke due to unknown reasons. Many people tried to reunite the two. But till date the two have not worked together. Vairamuthu, who had spoken about this a few years ago, had said, "If we both give old songs together, the fans will expect innovation; if we give songs according to the current innovation, they will ask where their old style has gone. AR Rahman and Vairamuthu worked together after the alliance with Ilaiyaraaja broke down. Just as Ilayaraja - Vairamuthu's songs are classic, Rahman and Vairamuthu gave many hit songs in the 90s and became a modern classic combination. But due to some problems, Rahman has started avoiding Vairamuthu.

Vairamuthu has written not only songs but also novels including Karuvachi Kaaviyam, Kallikattu Idhikaasam, Moondraam Ulagappor and short story collections including Villodu Vaa Nilave. As his songs were enjoyed, the books he wrote were also well received. Especially the Kallikattu Idhikaasam and the Karuvachi Kaaviyam are two great epics in his work. Therefore, his fans are waiting for the literature that he is currently writing to be of great quality.
