is

actresses

Anyone

Kollywood

that
her
younger
sister
Monal
followed
Simran's
footsteps
and
forayed
into
acting
by
playing
one
of
the
female
leads
in
Vijay
and
Bhumika
Chawla's
Badhri.
Monal,
who
also
shot
to
fame
in
a
short
span
of
time,
ended
her
life
on
April
14,
2002
due
to
unknown
reasons.
Her
body
was
found
hanging
in
her
apartment.
Remembering
her
late
sister,
Simran
took
to
social
media
and
shared
a
couple
of
photos
with
Monal.
She
captioned
the
photo,
"In
loving
memory
of
my
beautiful
sister
Monal.
You'll
be
never
forgotten.
#sisterlove." The
photo
received
much
love
from
the
fans
of
both
actors,
as
they
offered
condolences
to
Simran.
On
14th
April
2002,
waves
of
shock
were
sent
to
the
entire
film
industry
when
Monal
was
found
hanging
in
her
apartment.
It
was
reported
back
then,
that
she
had
attended
the
launch
of
her
new
film
Pei
Janmam
just
a
few
hours
before
taking
the
extreme
decision.
While
the
reason
for
her
death
was
never
known,
Simran
alleged
back
then,
that
Monal
was
dating
a
choreographer.
Since
they
broke
up
suddenly,
it
took
a
toll
on
her
mental
health.
Monal
was
21
years
old
when
she
took
the
extreme
decision.
On
the
acting
front,
Simran's
re-entry
to
movies
after
hr
sabbatical
has
been
eventful.
Her
recent
movie
Rocketry:
The
Nambi
Effect,
which
marked
the
directorial
debut
of
R
Madhavan,
turned
out
to
be
a
hit
venture.
She
also
has
several
movies
in
her
line
up
including
Vikram's
Dhruva
Natchathiram,
Arya's
Captain,
and
Aravind
Swamy's
Vanangamudi.
She
will
be
seen
playing
an
important
role
in
Prashanth's
Andhagan,
which
is
the
Tamil
remake
of
the
Hindi
movie
Andhadun.
