Kannamoochi Enada is Kanda Naal Muthal fame"s Priya"s second film. Unlike her debut film, her new movie has failed to attract all sections of the viewers. It suits only those who watch it in multiplexes. The story is also not a new one. It is but a remake of Hollywood film Meet the Parents. Priya has not done the justice to the original version of the film. Due to the weak script of the film, the outstanding performance of the veterans like Sathyaraj and Radhika in the film has not impressed viewers.

Harish (Prithviraj) loses his parents at an early age and is brought up by his uncle (Radha Ravi), a businessman in Malaysia. One day Harish meets Deva (Sandhya) and its love at first sight for him. Soon Deva shoes her intrest in the relationship. They both come to India to meet her parents Aarumugham (Sathyaraj- Chennai city police commissioner) and his wife Damayanthi (Radhika). Aarumugham does not like Harish and is suspicious about him right from the time that they first meet.

They don"t get along living in the same house. It comes to a point after which Arumugam's behavior makes his wife weary of him. Because of this, Deva starts to turn against Harish and asks him to keep away from her. Now, Harish brings her parents together when Damayanthi and up with the help of Harish and they help Harish win back his lover Deva!

The first half of the story mainly focuses on the love between Prithvi and Sandhya. In the second half, Sathyaraj and Radhika save the film are the only saving grace for the film. But the weak dramatic script and Sripriya hysterical type performance makes the film drag. In the end, if you do eventually smile, it is only due to Sathyaraj. His sparkling and superlative performance makes the movie an enjoyable experience.

He is hyper-energetic and adds spice to the film, especially the scene where he meets Prithviraj for the first time and they drive back from the airport in a police jeep where he shouts instructions through the wireless making Prithvi scared! Radhika plays his loving wife well. Prithviraj as Harish is a tailor-made role for him. He should take care of not being typecast in similar roles. Another important thing make his anonymous to Tamil viewers is his Tamil pronunciation with Malayalam accent.

Sandhya has played her role with ease but there is nothing impressive in her characterization. Yuvan Shankar Raja has done a neat job and scored some hummable tunes like Megame Megame… The remix of Anru Vanthathum Athe Nila… is soothing and enjoyable just like the original. The film cinematographer Preetha has done a good job. The average viewer can be happy with the clean portrayal of the film without bloodshed, violence or vulgarity.

Verdict: Not bad
