KS
Adhiyaman
once
again
returned
to
Tamil
Cinema
with
a
husband-wife-child
sentiment
story
but
with
a
poor
screenplay.
His
Thoondil
is
a
family
thriller
set
in
the
backdrop
of
beautiful
London
locations,
with
an
ex-lover
girl
of
the
hero
waiting
for
a
revenge
for
his
betrayal.
There
is
nothing
new
in
the
story
which
looks
like
old
wine
in
a
new
designer
(London)
bottle.
Divya
(Former
Kuthu
Ramya)
is
an
upcoming
model
in
London,
who
meets
Sriram
(Shaam)
an
IT
professional
and
later
falls
in
love
with
him.
Divya
has
a
big
dream
to
become
the
number
one
international
model,
but
one
of
her
client
put
forth
a
condition
that
she
must
give
up
her
love
affair
with
Sriram
to
become
as
she
wished.
But
Divya
refuses
the
idea
and
tries
to
be
loyal
to
her
love.
But
later,
Sriram
ditches
her
royally
and
the
reason
he
wants
her
to
make
it
big
as
a
top
model!
Divya
does
achieve
her
dream
and
becomes
a
top
model.
Unable
to
forget
the
betrayal
of
her
ex-lover,
she
owes
to
take
a
revenge
on
him
and
destroys
the
happiness
of
his
family
and
his
wife
Anjali
(Sandhya).
She
helps
Anjali
indirectly
to
become
a
mother
by
donating
her
ovary
eggs
and
later
when
Anjalai
delivers
a
female
baby
she
kidnaps
the
child.
How
the
couple
recovers
their
child
from
Divya
is
the
climax
of
the
film.
No
doubt,
it
is
a
cliched
story
with
unimaginative
and
amateurish
scenes
and
dialogues.
The
presentation
is
old
fashioned
and
the
dialogues
are
too
childish.
They
often
use
the
word
Mutta
Dhanam,
which
really
irritates
the
viewers.
But
the
director
tries
to
maintain
the
suspense
in
few
parts
of
the
story.
Also
he
has
tried
to
expose
Divya
at
the
maximum
level
in
the
beach
scenes,
which
makes
the
family
audience
to
stay
away
from
the
film.
Shaam
as
Sriram
has
performed
his
best,
especially
his
portion
with
mischievous
Divya.
Sandhya
as
a
housewife
with
the
dreams
of
getting
a
new
child
has
performed
well.
But
in
her
post
interval
segment,
the
actress
has
fail
to
make
an
impact.
In
fact,
her
performance
like
an
amateur
artist
irritates
in
few
scenes.
Divya's
seductive
looks
and
bold
performance
saves
the
film
and
make
the
viewers
to
watch
it
for
a
while.
Vivek's
comedy
makes
a
reverse
effect
in
this
film.
Particularly,
in
a
scene,
where
he
mimics
the
superstar
forced
the
viewers
to
curse
the
comedian
with
abusive
words.
Actors
like
Vivek
must
avoid
copying
the
legends
like
Rajini
or
MGR.
T
Kaviyarasu's
camera
work
is
fine
and
the
music
score
of
debutant
Abhishek
is
passable.
