New Sci-fi series on Star Plus

Mumbai (UNI): Television channel 'Star Plus' has launched the first ever, mega sci-fi series 'Antariksh', in the weekday prime-time band, at 2000 hrs, from Monday to Thursday starting October 2. A story full of imagination, gizmos, gadgets, space and outer-space, some of the nuances of Antariksh, will draw its inspiration from the Indian mythology of Ramayana, as the story's basic premise is that of a war between the good and the evil, however in a jet-set space-age, leap years ahead of time on Earth. However, its not just a kid's programe, since it is inspired by the Ramayana.
''Aimed at our younger viewers, Antariksh, is a revolutionary mix of utopian vision of justice and prosperity, which we are launching exclusively in the weekday prime-time band, for our younger viewers. It's a story full of new-age imagination that will see the use of hi-fi gadgets, which is sure to create a cult amongst them,'' executive vice president, Content, STAR India, Deepak Segal said yesterday.
