On
the
lines
of
the
other
singing
talent
shows,
'Voice
of
India'
directed
and
conceptualized
by
Gajendrra
Siingh,
the
pioneer
of
'Sa
Re
Ga
Ma
Pa',
is
in
its
audition
stage.
After
breaking
away
from
Zee,
Gajendrra
has
designed
this
show
for
Star.
Though
it
is
like
its
mother
show,
there
are
a
few
changes
being
made
-
like
the
audition
process
itself.
The
auditions
are
being
held
in
the
form
of
stage
shows
where
the
participants
perform
in
front
of
the
crowd
and
thus
the
selection
process
is
transparent.
Since
the
auditions
are
on,
we
decided
to
catch
up
with
singer
Abhijeet
Bhattacharya,
one
of
the
judges
of
the
show.
Abhijeet
seemed
pretty
excited
with
the
response
the
show
is
getting
and
said
that
this
is
the
best
lot
of
singers
that
he
has
ever
come
across.
He
was
highly
impressed
by
the
contestants
from
Jaipur
and
Delhi.
However,
Abhijeet
was
unhappy
with
the
response
at
Kolkata.
"I
had
expected
a
better
response
from
Kolkata
since
it
has
produced
good
singers.
But
I
guess
most
of
them
have
opted
for
other
shows
where
people
are
doing
drama
in
the
name
of
music".
He
even
goes
ahead
to
reconfirm
if
we
have
understood
what
he
was
saying.
Yes
we
do
Abhijeet,
but
why
do
you
want
to
get
into
further
controversies?
