Rome is a typical and a beautiful European country. I have been regularly visiting this place ever since I was 13 years old. So you can imagine how many times I have been there! Now I might not remember the names of the place, but I remember the way to the places. You put me up at the hotel where I stay and I'll be able to tell you the ways to places.

I usually go there during our monsoon which is the European summer. The weather is beautiful there and it is sunny, but not as hot as Mumbai. Rome is a beautiful architectural city and every time I have been there, I have discovered something new.

There are huge palaces and forts and churches, cathedrals all over the city and one can find some awesome architecture. They say that their most recent or rather modern paintings date back to 18th century. So it is at least 2000 years old!

There is so much to see there that you do not need the company of anyone. Also you will never be able to see everything in a single vacation. I still keep discovering places. The people in Rome are also friendly, but there is a little problem with the language. You have to manage with English and a lot of sign languages.

There is a little fish eatery out there which serves some delicious dishes of fishes. The chef there cooks in front of you and this is the specialty of the place. I really loved the 'platter of steamed shell fishes'. It is a dish where there give you a plate of steamed shell fish which you dip in different types of sauce and eat.

There are two lanes near Christine Chapel where you will get all the best brands that you can think of. Summer is the time for sales so you will get all these branded clothes, but I must tell you that Rome is not a cheap city. You will have to pay entry tax every where you go and it is justified because they need money to maintain the monuments.

I remember I was traveling by bus and looking for a place on my map. Mistaking the place to be the one I was looking for I got down. But after I got down I had realized that it was not he place. But one thing that came as a boon for me as I was standing in front of the oldest cathedral in Rome.

I would really recommend Rome to people who like to have fruitful holidays. Also a piece of advice that I have is that one should put up at a place outside the city of Rome and can always caddie into the city and walk to places that they want to visit. This would save a lot of money. The hotel also offers good package deals that one can avail.
