After playing main lead in 'Tumhari Disha' a year ago in Zee, actress Chhavi Mittal has all the free time to herself and that's what has promted her to pick up the pen. But Ms Mittal puts it differently - "I express myself through my poems and randomly jotting down my thoughts that seem to bother me."

Chhavi , who currently stars in 'Viraasat' says, "I mostly write when I am not in a good mood and that's the reason why my writings are usually depressive. But they help me clear my mind and lend a new perspective to my vision. By nature I'm a very moody and sensitive person so I tend to get hurt quite easily and find solace in my writings."

Chhavi Mittal gets inspiration from her father in law Imtiaz Husein who happens to be a scriptwriter and has churned out Bollywood hits like "Parinda", "Vaastav", "Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin", and "Astitva" for which he even won an award. Incidentally, Chavvi is also a graduate with English honors from LSR College in Delhi and this works to her benefit.

And talking about movies, she is developing a fictional script for her husband Mohit Hussein. Although she personally finds fiction very difficult, so is bound to take some time.
