Life has become simpler with mobile phones

Are you a gizmo freak?
Yes, I love gizmos and, in fact, I have become complete gizmo freak nowadays. I have loads of gadgets at home, and I am so proud of them!

What are the gadgets you possess?
I have all the usual stuff that one should have at home. I purchased a portable DVD player and an I-Pod from Singapore recently. I am very excited about the I-Phone, and although it has not yet arrived in India, I have placed an order on the Internet, from the house of Apple. I am also leaving for Mauritius, for the Gold Awards, tonight, and I am sure that I will buy many things from there.

Which is your priced possession?
It has to be the Playstation. I love games, and I believe Shahrukh Khan loves the Playstation, too.

Do you think gadgets have made our lives simpler?
They have made us more dependent, and lazier. There will soon be a time when our maids will be replaced by robots. Masseurs have been replaced by massage chairs. Everything has its pros and cons.

Which is the one gadget without which you think life would have been impossible?
I depend on myself and my two hands and feet. However, I think life has become very simple with mobile phones.

Where do you access your email -on your phone or on your laptop?
I am buying a laptop soon and then I will be able to access my emails on it. I have many brands in mind - Vaio, Del, HP, Lenovo, etc. I am not too keen on an Apple, because it is more for professionals, and I am not going to be using it all that much.

Would you like to call yourself techno savvy? How important is it to be techno savvy in today's world?
It depends from person to person. Gadgets are available and I am using them. If they were not, then I would not be using them.

Some gadgets are expensive, as well as complicated. What do you think of these?
It should not be that expensive. There should be a reasonable rate so that most people can afford it.

Do you think the price tags on most gadgets are justified?
No, these prices are not justified.

Where do you usually buy your gadgets and gizmos from? Any suggestions for our readers…
I try and buy gadgets from abroad because they are available at cheaper prices. In India you get the same things at double the price.
