Shweta Tiwari victim of domestic violence

'Prerna' of Kasauti Zindagi Kay, who has always portrayed strength and will power, in real life has been a victim for many years. Shweta Tiwari has been a victim of domestic violence and recently filed a complaint against her husband Raja Chaudhry.

Ever since the success of Kasauti Zindagi Kay, Raja started feeling insecure and threatened. His unemployment added to his insecurity. He was jealous of his wife's star status and popularity.

Raja made appearances at Page 3 parties with Shweta.. Here there were rounds of gossip about his behaviour and it is alleged that he made sexual advances at women. Shweta though upset, swept it under the carpet by not making it a public issue.

It had been noticed that Raja used to scream at Shweta on the sets in public. He kept a tight control of her earnings, though she was the only bread winner in the family. He would hurl abuses at her, if she refused to give him money. She has been seen sobbing in the sets many times.

Shweta and Raja had appeared for Nach Baliye 2. Though Shweta was an excellent dancer she had tough time matching steps with her husband. Eventually they lost the contest . Meanwhile, Raja was hospitalized because of his liver infection due to excessive alcohol consumption. Shweta took care of him during this time.

The couple have a seven-year-old daughter, Palak. Sources say that Shweta had been quiet all this while about her marital problems, because of her daughter. She did not want her child to suffer because of this issue. How will Shweta tackle this problem in real life? Lets wait and watch.
