Ishmeet Singhs funeral with state honour

The body of singing sensation Ishmeet Singh, who died of drowning in swimming pool in Maldives on Tuesday evening, was brought to his home town Ludhiana on Wednesday evening. According to Hfarcharan Singh Bains media advisor to Chief Minsiter Parkash Singh Badal, Punjab State government has made special arrangements for the state funeral of singing sensation Ishmeet on 31st July.

The government made arrangements of a charted plane to bring the body of Ishmeet from Maldives on Wednesday evening. Today The 19-year-old singer will be given funeral in Ludhiana by the Punjab Government with all the state honours. The state government officials and leaders of the ruling SAD-BJP alliance escorted the body from Halwara airport near Ludhiana to his residence in Shastri Nagar area of the town.

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has condoled the death of the singer. He said that Ishmeet made name and fame at a very tender age, but the fate has cut short the budding singer. The state has lost a promising singer, which can not be replaced by anyone. Amarinder Singh, SAD President Sukhbir Badal and Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal an some of Bollywood have also condoled the death of The voice of India 2007.

Meanwhile, as the body reached the native place on Wednesday, some of his family member have raised suspicions of foul play. So they have demanded for a probe into the suspicious accidental death of Ishmith.
