Zee TV's much-hyped show Waaris is loosely based on Sarkar and therefore violence in the show is not uncommon. But no one probably imagined that the violence would seep into real life and the set would actually turn into a battle ground. According to our source present on the sets, Yuvraaj Malhotra who plays Shaurya in the show lived up to his reputation of being a rowdy character by bashing up a poor production guy for no reason.

The huge drama occurred last night. The source says, "A small verbal altercation led to Yuvraaj hitting the poor guy black and blue. When the production people intervened, his sixth sense immediately indicated that he would land up in deep trouble. So in order to save himself, he slit his own hand and coolly went and lodged a police complaint against the poor production guy. After that the production guy was taken into police custody."

The entire production team that was witness to the fiasco, didn't take it kindly and 'gheraoed' the police station and followed it by lodging a complaint with the Cine Workers Union. Yuvraaj has now been banned from acting in the serial till he tenders a personal apology. Till the time of filing the report, the matter wasn't resolved. When we called up Yuvraaj he had a totally different story to tell.

He said, "I did have a verbal fight with that production guy. But the production people started abusing me and out of the blue pounced on me, as a group of eagles do when they see a rat. I suffered a deep cut in my hand."

We aren't sure who is telling us the truth. But there is something to bring to your notice. Getting hyper and picking up fights on the sets is nothing new to Yuvraaj. A few months back he had ended up slapping his Betiyaan co-star Twinkle Bajpai and his one time girlfriend Mahi too had lodged a police complaint against him a while ago. Does that clear some air!
