Delhi 6 music launched on Indian Idol 4

The music launch of film Delhi 6 starring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor happened on the sets of reality show Indian Idol. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra (Of Rang De Basanti fame), Prasoon Joshi and Sonam Kapoor came to release the music of their much awaited film on the sets of Indian Idol. Why Indian Idol?

'There is no show like Indian Idol and when you watch the film you will understand why we chose to unveil the music on this platform,' explained director Rakeysh Mehra. 'My character in the film dreams of achieving her goal in the world of music and will be an inspiration to all these contestants!' said Sonam between giggles.

It was truly a musical bonanza with new singer Mohit Chauhan singing Masakali Masakali... to Sonam's groovy moves. But the grand finale came with the jugalbandi by Javed Ali and Kailash Kher - great way to end a musical soiree!
