Milind Soman says no to fiction

By Super Admin

Super model turned actor turned producer , Milind Soman does not want to be reminded of the episode when Sachin Sharma, an actor of his ill-fated Zee Next show, Pyaar Ishq Mohabbat went on Gandhigiri for the payment of dues. “That"s mean, we all know that he pulled those gimmicks just for publicity. The association has settled the matter and I did not need to pay him. He was quite disappointed at the way the above show went. It was not good. We did not get support from the channel (which was new and fledging) as we would have got from a traditional GEC. Our show was good and had it been on some other channel, it surely would have succeeded."

Milind who is currently producing a make over show, titled Blue Carpet, on Bindaas laughingly remarked that his company Face Entertainment is not good at making fiction. His previous attempt, Ghost Bana Dost (Star Plus) also had not rocked, “I am now looking at making good fiction. As regards non fiction, which is our core competence, there is a vast arena of themes to try out like cookery and adventure sports, etc". Some of the other well known non fiction properties produced by him are 'DNA After Hours'( Zee Cafe) and Just Pooja( Zoom).

He does not feel that drama associated with all reality shows is fake, “ We have ordinary people on board who can"t fake emotions like celeb"s would. Blue Carpet is giving some girls a chance to look confident and different. Let"s face it, all said and done despite the cliche that beauty is only skin deep, good looks do count. And more importantly the change we give them is within our socio cultural mosaic. There is no extreme make over or anything that will make them look out of place."
