Akshay Kumar returns to Colors show

The headline would have been a formality three months ago. However, the equation between Akshay Kumar and Colors is the same. In spite of the soured relation, Akshay Kumar will make a surprise visit to the grand finale of Colors show 'Chak Dhoom Dhoom" on 24 July.

The man, who was once literally the face of Colors, was reportedly unhappy with the channel for replacing him with Priyanka Chopra as host of 'Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi"special edition. No sooner than Colors announced Priyanka as the new face of 'Fear Factor", one expected Akshay Kumar to be 'lured" away by rival channels. That"s precisely what has happened with Star Plus roping in Kumar as host of the soon-to-be-launched 'Master Chef India".

The industry was abuzz with the tale that Akshay left Colors on a bad note. The channel allegedly found it difficult to meet his pricey demands and thus replaced him the supposedly economical Priyanka Chopra. Upset by this, Akshay allegedly accepted Star"s offer and asked them to launch 'Master Chef India" at the same time and same slot as that of 'Fear Factor". The Bollywood superstar wanted to prove his supremacy as host over Priyanka.

As he returns for a brief appearance on Colors, one can"t help but wonder,"why". Apparently, the actor will be using this opportunity to promote his upcoming flick Khatta Meetha". Well, it looks like he"s now sharing a bittersweet relationship with Colors.

If 'Fear Factor" were to triumph over 'Master Chef India", Star Plus will regret for letting chef Kumar spoil their dish.
