Colors channel which, airs 'Bigg Boss 4' has dragged the government to court. The channel can now take a breathe of relief for winning a reprieve, the show will not move to 11 pm for now. Viacom 18, the owner of the channel moved the court challenging the decision of the government, to restrict the broadcasting time of the show 'Bigg Boss 4'and Rakhi Ka Sawant (Imagine TV) between 11pm and 5pm.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said yesterday that they have received many complaints from viewers about the abusive and vulgar languages used on the show. News channels have been ordered not to carry any kind of excerpts on these shows.
Today morning, Colors moved the Bombay High Court saying that, “No particular dates has been mentioned as to when the show was against good taste and decency. The show has been on for one and a half months, what is the urgency suddenly?"
The channel accepted that the government has full rights to change a schedule time however in that case the shows advertisement commitments and contents has to change also.
Last night the 'Bigg Boss 4'was aired in its usual timings (9pm slot) and saw the entry of International celebrity Pamela Anderson.
