The
Bombay
High
court
has
directed
the
Information
and
Broadcasting
(I&B)
Ministry
on
Wednesday
to
issues
a
fresh
notice
against
Viacom18
Media
Pvt
Ltd,
the
producers
of
the
popular
reality
show
'Bigg
Boss
4'.
The
channel
will
get
48
hours
to
submit
a
reply
to
the
notice
once
the
ministry
serves
it
to
the
show.
Viacom18
had
moved
the
High
Court
by
filing
a
writ
petition
against
the
I&B
ministry's
order
to
shift
the
reality
show
'Bigg
Boss
4'
from
the
prime
time
slot
(
9pm)
to
a
late
hour
slot
(11pm).
The
ministry
on
November
16
had
filled
an
affidavit
against
the
producers
of
the
channel
Colors
accusing
that
the
show
has
abusive
and
indecent
contents,
which
is
not
fit
for
family
viewing
and
is
harmful
for
the
young
viewers.
Viacom18
argued
the
case
against
the
ministry
bu
saying
that
“No
particular
dates
has
been
mentioned
as
to
when
the
show
was
against
good
taste
and
decency.
The
show
has
been
on
for
one
and
a
half
months,
what
is
the
urgency
suddenly?"
On
that
argument
the
HC
advised
the
ministry
to
give
the
producers
of
the
show
'Bigg
Boss
4'
an
opportunity
to
express
their
views
on
the
matter.
