The
craze
for
'Kaun
Banega
Crorepati'
fourth
season
is
back
with
the
return
of
its
original
host
Amitabh
Bachchan.
Sony
Entertainment
Television
opened
the
phone
lines
for
KBC
4
on
August
2
at
9
pm
and
it
received
more
than
5
lakh
calls
in
the
first
15
minutes
from
all
over
India
for
the
question
asked
by
the
host
Big
B.
In
eight
days
the
total
number
of
callers
has
now
reached
to
five
crore,
as
per
the
channel"s
data.
The
head
of
marketing,
Sony
Entertainment,
Danish
Khan
admits
that
it
is
their
strategy
to
attract
more
audience
to
the
9
pm
slot.
He
said,
“Considering
the
popularity
of
KBC,
we
knew
lots
of
viewers
would
call
up
to
answer
the
questions
to
register.
Hence,
we
thought
to
bring
a
new
question
everyday
to
increase
the
reach
of
the
show".
This
season
has
introduced
a
new
procedure
for
registration.
The
process
starts
when
the
callers
answer
the
questions
on
the
phone
and
register
their
name
and
communication
details
with
the
channel.
The
software
records
the
detail
automatically
and
selects
randomly
some
people,
who
can
appear
for
the
auditions
to
be
conducted
in
six
Indian
cities
including
Mumbai,
Delhi,
Nagpur,
and
Lucknow
from
September
1
to
September
6.
The
participants
need
to
undergo
auditioning
procedure
consisting
of
a
written
test
as
well
as
a
video
conference
meeting
with
Amitabh
Bachchan.
The
collective
scores
of
both
the
tests
would
select
the
first
10
players
to
take
part
in
the
Fastest
Finger
First
on
the
show.
The
show
will
start
on
October
11
on
the
birthday
of
Big
B
at
Sony
Entertainment
Television.
