Host Purab Kohli opts out of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

Model turned Bollywood actor Purab Kohli, who was hosting Zee TV"s popular reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar" this season has opted out of the show because of some prior commitments. In a statement, Purab was quoted saying that he is leaving the show due to his prior commitments to movies. It is very unfortunate that he will not be able to give enough time to the show, Kohli added.

This Friday, Purab will be seen hosting the show for the last time. VJ Manish Paul will be seen hosting the show. Manish has earlier hosted Zee TV"s 'Dance India Dance L"il Masters" and 'Ghar Ghar Mein" along with Vipul Roy.

Purab is well know for his performance in the movie Rock On. The VJ turned actor said that he is leaving the show with lot of fantastic memories. He was quoted saying that hosting the show was like a dream come true for him because it is the same platform that has given popularity to popular singers like Sonu Niigaam and Shaan.

Purab added that he is grateful to the channel for giving him such a wonderful opportunity, even though, he did not have any musical background. He further added that he will probably continue to be the host of the show in the next season.
