year

Sreeram
Chandra
from
Hyderabad
won
the
Indian
Idol
Season
five
this
Sunday
(August
15).
Competing
with
the
Gujarati
girl
Bhoomi
Trivedi
and
Agra
boy
Rakesh
Maini,
Sreeram
won
the
Indian
Idol
title.
The
Grand
finale
was
held
at
Filmistan
Studio,
and
saw
Bollywood
veteran
Amitabh
Bachchan
as
the
chief
guest.
Bachchan
was
a
religious
follower
of
the
reality
show,
all
thanks
goes
to
wife
Jaya
Bachchan,
who
loves
to
watch
Indian
Idol.
Seeram
was
awarded
the
Indian
Idol
honour
by
the
actor.
He
was
showered
with
a
cash
prize
of
Rs.
50
lakh,
a
car,
a
motor
bike
and
one-year
contract
with
Sony
TV.
Above
all
he
got
a
life
time
chance
to
sing
in
one
of
the
next
Yash
Raj
Production.
Sreeram
was
the
favourite
of
the
audience
and
the
judges
from
day
one.
With
his
dedication
and
singing
talent,
he
proved
himself
to
be
a
versatile
singer
and
the
most
deserving
person
for
the
title.
Sreeram
has
already
sung
few
songs
for
Telugu
movies
before
entering
Indian
Idol.
He
has
even
recorded
a
song
with
Shreya
Ghosal
composed
by
Salim-
Suleman
for
an
upcoming
movie
before
winning
the
reality
show.
