While Amitabh Bachchan's controversial film Aarakshan hits the screens on August 12, his next season on Kaun Banega Crorepati will go on air on August 15. On this eve of double dhamaka, host Amitabh will be bringing in actors Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the second episode of the show. Amitabh will be quizzing his two co-stars from the film Aarakshan.
Amitabh points out that his film Aarakshan and his show KBC reflect the same philosophy. Mr. Bachchan reasons that his character in the film Dr Prabhakar Anand believes in giving equal opportunities and so does his show Kaun Banega Crorepati 5, whose tag line says 'koi bhi insaan chhota nahin hota' (no one is inferior).
Big B explains that looking at the results of the previous seasons of the show, he realised that not only the urban Indian but people from the rural India were talented enough to make money. Rahul Tasleem, last years crorepati was from Giridih (Jharkhand), he says.
When asked that what is his take on the educational system and the reservation policy? The Megastar says that he is no academician or a politician to give his views on the issues. He says that like his character Dr Anand he too believes that there are distinctions in society and if the constitution has decided to push the weaker sections then we are no one to question it. At the same time, he told that it is our responsibility to ensure that the divide is bridged soon.
