Singer
Geet
Sagar,
who
was
mentored
by
noted
playback
singer
Shreya
Goshal,
has
become
the
winner
of
the
first
season
of
singing
reality
show
X-Factor
India.
The
27-year-old
Gwalior
boy
pocket
the
coveted
title
beating
Seema
Jha
from
Sonu
Nigam's
team
and
Sajda
sisters
from
filmmaker
Sanjay
Leela
Bhansali's
team.
Talking
to
the
PTI,
Geet
Sagar
said,
"I
am
blank.
I
am
still
pinching
myself...as
I
can't
believe
I
have
won.
I
feel
hard
work
and
luck
both
play
equal
role
in
your
life.
The
journey
has
been
adventurous
and
learning.
I
believe
the
reality
show
provided
me
a
platform
to
show
and
enhance
my
singing
besides
giving
me
an
identity."
Geet
Sagar
wants
to
perform
live
on
stage
and
interact
with
the
audience.
"In
India
there
is
the
bad
thing
that
if
you
sing
in
films
then
only
you
are
considered
as
a
good
singer.
I
want
to
be
a
good
singer
and
I
believe
this
is
not
the
only
criteria.
I
feel
even
doing
live
shows
performing
on
stage
interacting
with
the
audience
is
important," Geet
told
the
PTI.
However,
Shreya
Goshal,
Sonu
Nigam
and
Sanjay
Leela
Bhansali
were
the
judges
for
the
first
season
of
the
Indian
version
of
the
reality
show
X-Factor.
Geet
Sagar
bagged
the
title
by
securing
maximum
public
votes.
He
pocketed
Rs
50
lakh
and
a
Tata
Manza
car
as
a
part
of
his
award.
