By Kalyani Prasad Keshri

Knock!! Knock!! Who's there? Your eyes drop when you realize it"s an extremely stunning, 5ft 10inches tall lady with an athletic physique to match and sparkling eyes.

You wake up to reality and soon realize that you have seen her almost every week for the last one month in the popular reality show “Khatron Ke Khiladi". And that"s simply the tip of the ice berg. An illustrious career as a model spanning over more than a decade clearly shows that she has stood the test of time in one of the most demanding professions of our country.

Be it Sony, Tata Safari, Tips N Toes, Aquafina, Be or Axe, Diandra Soares has been the chosen one for them when it came to their most popular advertising campaigns. She was also a judge and mentor to a host of participants for “Get Gorgeous" contest hosted by Channel V. The “Jalwa" music video owes the Jalwa of its success to a large extent to Diandra Soares who has been the face of this mesmerizing video. The industry grapevine reveals that Bollywood producers are showing keen interest in Diandra and her unique personality. She made an interesting appearance in Bollywood with Madhur Bhandarkar"s “Fashion" in 2008.

Diandra is a perfectionist to the core and when it comes to looks, she supervises every little detail from head to toe. It is this interesting streak in her personality and also the lack of attractive designer footwear in the Indian market which drove her to take up shoe designing for Tarun Tahiliani and Shane and Falguni Peacock in the fashion weeks. She also styled the Kingfisher Calendar for two years in a row in 2004 and 2005. Multifaceted, she truly is and Diandra has doubled up as an expert make-up artist on a professional basis for various advertising commercials. So if there is a crown for sheer versatility, it should truly go to Diandra Soares.

From modeling to music videos to reality shows to shoe designing and make-up, Diandra continues to surprise audiences with her abundance of talent. And to imagine this journey started at the tender age of 16 when most girls must have just grown out of their ponytail looks. So the next time you happen to see Diandra performing a breathtaking stunt in a Bollywood flick, don"t be surprised. Life is full of surprises and so is Diandra.
