Ratan Rajput gets 54,863 marriage proposals

Television actress Ratan Rajput, who shot to fame portraying the character Laali in Zee TV's show 'Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo', has received 54,863 wedding proposals on the show, 'Ratan Ka Rishta'. Reportedly, this is the highest number of proposals so far surpassing 'Rakhi Ka Swayamvar' and 'Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jaayega'.

The proposals from the suitors includes doctors, lawyers, engineers, professors, businessmen, chef and bankers who belong to places like Meerut, Lucknow, New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkota, Jaipur, Bhopal, Bangalore, Patne, Chandigarh, Ranchi and Hyderabad. Men from Britain, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Cannada, Pakistan and US have also shown their interest for Ratan by sending their profiles.

Ratan told to TOI, “I want to thank everybody for their continuous support to me. I hope that with the blessings of god, my family and viewers, I find a true soulmate."

Nikhil Madhok, senior director Marketing and Communications, Imagine TV, confirmed, "The response for the third season - 'Ratan Ka Rishta' has been very good. We have entries from all over the world and with so many prospective grooms on hand, Ratan has been spoilt for choice. We are confident to find the right match for Ratan."
