granted
bail
to
Roy,
whose
Mercedes
hit
a
moving
four-wheeler
with
four
occupants
of
a
family
injuring
an
woman
seriously,
in
suburban
Amboli
(Mumbai).
The
actor
was
let
off
on
a
surety
of
Rs
12,000.
Reportedly,
the
victims
has
been
identified
as
Deepak
Darera
(60),
his
wife
Kaanta
(56),
and
daughters
Sneha
(29)
and
Pooja
(24)
-
who
stay
at
suburban
Andheri's
Shashtri
Nagar
area,
were
on
their
way
for
a
picnic
to
hill
station
Matheran.
Ronit
Roy
said
that
he
was
returning
home
from
a
Diwali
party
but,
denied
the
charges
of
being
drunk
while
driving.
Ronit
was
arrested
under
IPC
sections
279
(rash
driving
or
riding
on
a
public
way),
338
(causing
grievous
hurt
by
act
of
endangering
life
or
personal
safety
of
others),
adding
that
it
is
a
bailable
offence.
